Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
Just finished The Girl Who Played With Fire and am devastated to see that the third book is not coming out in english until late 2009! Compelling reading, so sad that we lost SL in his prime.

After reading the first two in the Millennium series I can't wait for the third to come out later this year. I am sad to think that such a brilliant writer passed in his prime. I also think the translator should be congratulated. The first two books are amongst some of the best I have read in years.

I picked up "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" off a new novel table in the local library in Arizona. Wow! I read at least 4 books a week but this one had me reading till late and waking at 5:00 am to start again. I am so sorry to hear of his early death. What talent!

I picked up "The Girl who Played with Fire" at complete random from Dubai Duty Free before boarding a flight to Frankfurt on Feb 1. It turned out to be the best thing I did. Except that I now have to look for the first book AND wait for the third.
Brilliant book. May the author rest in peace.

I just finish to read Millenium II and I am still under the impression! The suspens is so intense that I had difficulty to close the book and sleep at night. And he also made me concerned about the women trade in Sweden or Europe. I was with all my heart with Lisbeth Salander during all the story.

Highly entertaining mystery, with a serious undertheme. The characters were intriguing, and the plot twists had me guessing hard! The style (as translated into English) is a bit plain, but the author has the capacity to create such a compelling scene that the reader seems magically to enter the book's world. Couldn't wait to pick it up!!

I read all of the books in less than a week. They really caught me.
I really hope the film will be great too. But I guess the film will never make up to my expectations after reading the novels.
R.I.P Stieg.
