Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
I Love Stieg Larsson's use of language and his characthers in his books. Stieg Torrak! (Torrak means perfect or very good in greenlandic)

When I finished the first book I thought I would not be able to wait for the second one, I needed to have it immediately. I'm now nearly finishing the 2nd one and I have the feeling that I can't do anything else but trying to find 5 minutes to continue with the reading. It is just unbelievable how someone can move you so deeply only writing, with no images, no sound, only his imagination and his ability to write it¡¡¡¡ Amazing. A pity he passed away so young and with such a great future in front of him

Schade!

By page 468 I was crying, and then I was right back into the ethical questions. No more time for tears. What a great read. I can´t wait until the English paperback comes out in 2009! What a pity he´s gone.

Superb suspense, no question.
But too much fill-up – how many cups of coffee and open sandwiches per page? The prose is a journalist's. Such a haste to meet the deadline. Good prose should enhance a story more deeply without having to revert to coffee-drinking and a change of weather. I miss the Bildung of a Bildungsroman. I think it was intended to be. Building up of suspense is the main strength of the trilogy. That said, I couldn't put any of the three books down. Please read the books and let us hope the best for the movies. I am a bit shaky about them.
R.I.P. Stieg Larsson

In Poland first novel has just appreared. I have finished reading it few days ago. I cannot wait for two other parts of Millenium-series. Great book, which keeps the tension. And character of Mikael Blomqvist is great.

I finished last weekend the books in Spanish, titles are "Los hombres que no amaban a las mujeres" and "La chica que soñaba con una cerilla y un bidón de gasolina". I think title for 1st novel in Spanish (or italian as I see below) better plots the essential message for the 2 novels. 2nd book is even more thrilling than 1st. Unfortunately third release in Spanish will be in June 09.
