Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
I have just finished reading the first book in the Trilogy what a fabulous read, well written intrigue and suspense. One of the better books I have read in a long time. Looking forward to the next edition.

Just finished "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and loved it. I'm disappointed that it is taking so long for the English edition of the other two. However, I will find a copy in another suitable language soon enough. Shame we cannot expect anything from the brilliant Larsson.

One of the best and most interesting books I have ever read. The authors death is a great loss.

Just finished the first book and now I can finally get out of bed today! I feel like I read it non-stop and was riveted the whole time. I was stunned to learn of Larsson's passing about halfway through, but I'm so glad to learn that the stories will continue. I saw so much of Sweden in the book that I'd never thought of, and was moved and saddened by his notes on violence toward women in that country. A telling measure of a society... I only wish I read other languages so I could keep reading these books right away.

Because I am always intrigued by Scandinavian novels/mysteries, I picked up this book as soon as it hit the library. What a disappointment, halfway through, to read in the author info that S.L. is dead. Such a waste. Was he really a man?

What a great and beautifull talent of a man who is gone to soon. And what a special thing to enjoy his gift to the people.

I read the trilogy in a one week session and a feeling of a strange mix of SF, detective and serial killer novel is a bit confusing although I found the story well balanced and spicy. Perhaps the translation in French (I am a Belgian) is not the best choice I made, however, Millennium didn't took me inside the every dark nor the very bright. Perhaps Stiegg Larsson, a great novelist, no doubt, has show too much sympathy to his characters, even the bad one. There is some lack of cruelty in Millennium. If I may say.
