Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
I´m happy that the rest of the world get the chance to read these fantastic books! We all got the Lisbeth Salander-fever here in Sweden. The movies are in the making right now. But I wonder if they can capture the magic of the caractures from the books. I think that Lisbeth is a modern Pippi Långstump (Longstocking).

The first book of the Millenium trilogy makes me want to grab the next two books and devour them as well! I could not put down the book until I was finished, it is such a clever and intriguing story, even if it is brutal. Such characters too! The translation was quite alright, the inclusion of select Swedish words neat and brought back fond memories from my time in Sweden. I did question the English title The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo vs. the original Men who hate women, but I think it works. Now I don't know how I can stand to wait for the next release!! I guess I just have to wear "The Girl Who Played With Fire" T-shirt I won in an online contest by the publisher. If Stieg Larsson lived, I would ask him to sign it...

GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO was one of the best books I have ever read. I have spent a lot of time in Sweden and Karsson captures the heart of Sweden .

I finished today! I'm gonna wait more than a few months for the 2nd book... until the Portuguese translation is ready. It's breathless. In Portuguese "Os Homens que Odeiam as Mulheres" - "Men Who Hate Women".

I bought "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by chance and I loved it. I have already ordered the 2nd one and cannot wait until the third is translated into English. Amazingly compelling read. I could not put the book down and resented the times I had to stop to do other things. Truly tragic that such a great mind is no more.

I don't ever think I've finished books this quickly. They are breathtaking! Lisbet is my hero. What a gal. Finished the first two and will rush to the library today to borrow number three - in the original language. R.I.P Stieg.
