Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
This book is better than best movies... this flip of images, thoughts, interpretations, questions, moods and feeling made my whole body spin! For three days I have read morning, afternoon and night and completly lost all sense of time (not to speak about the work which I have put apart). I have just decided to get some information about Larsson on internet and what a disappointment: I realize that the other two books are not yet published. Tooo much of a cliff hanger.
I have read the first one in italian.

I've just finish the first book in Spanish, translated like "Los hombres que no amaban a las mujeres", in English: "Men who didn't love women". Why did they just translate the title in Spain?
I'm waiting for the second book in Spanish, but maybe I'll read in English. I just CAN'T wait for knowing more and more.

Best books ever written. It's strange; i catch myself smiling whenever Mikael or Lisbeth do something typically for their personality, as if I know them very well. It's weird to realize that these persons don't really exist. It's like they're my best friends or something. Strange.
And another thing; my girlfriend is almost about to leave me because she's hasn't got any attention from me the past few weeks :) but dont blame me, blame Mikael and Salander.
Stieg Larsson is a legend.

Just finished the third book (in Danish) and was hooked just until the turn of the last page. Great story, great writing.

I read a lot and for me Stieg Larsson's three books are the best three books I have ever read. I wish I was English so I had the pleasure of waiting for No 2 and 3. You are so lucky, you have something fantastic to look forward to.

Firstly, I want to say what a great book, Stieg's legacy will continue for many years to come he is a great inspiration to all aspiring journalists and writers alike. I disagree with Lynn (from Toronto 11/9/08) whole-heartedly and am grateful to have had the privilege of reading this great novel in English at all, it has a firm place in my collection of favourite reads. I am going to struggle to wait until Jan 2010 to complete the trilogy so may have to take up language lessons in the meantime. Along with J from New York, I too am sad that Stieg is no longer with us to witness the reaction to his excellent work.

Just finished 'The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo' and feel it is one of the best books I have ever read. Knowing Stieg Larsson passed is truly heartbreaking. I am grateful he wrote three, but sad as well that he did not live to see the world's reaction.

I have finished the first two books in German and absolutely loved them. As others have said here, I read them absolutely everywhere and read No 2 just in two days, which is a record for me I believe. Now I'm actually learning French with No 3, as I just couldn't wait for the paperback edition in German (apparently to be due in the UK in 01/2010 only!!!). Trying to read this book in French is actually advantageous, as it will take me ages to finish, but because Larsson writes so well, it will keep me motivated to continue!!! Thanks Stieg, I wish you were here to relish your success!!! I haven't read any better crime novels ever!

I was very sad to hear that Stieg Larsson has passed away. Just the way he wrote made me wan to meet him and have long talks over a glass(or 2) of red wine.

Best books I ever read, no doubt. It's a damn shame Stieg Larsson couldn't live to get the praise he deserves.
