why did he die
- , 27 January 2011
Stieg died of a heart attack when his office building had a power outage and the elevator was out; he walked seven flights of stairs and had a heart attack. Such a loss. .. . .

A helper at the library gave me the name and I was lucky enough to start on the first book.I was so sad to hear he had passed.I'm reading " The girl who kicked the Hornets Nest" now.He had a remarkable talent and led a life much like his leading male character.I'm hoping his life's partner will keep writng them and will get her rightful share. This should teach everyone to make a will.He did not expect this to happen.

I am fifty-three years old and was lucky to have a Grandmother who was a teacher and instilled a love of reading to me. Mr Larsson has opened another fantastic journey that one should let the mind relax and just go with it. My wife and I have spoken of a trip to Europe and Sweden has suddenly become a hot topic. A shame that Mr. Larsson left so abruptly and kudos to Eva for continuing.

I am a 21 year old english male.
Aside from 'silence of the lambs' i hadnt read a book since leaving school. They bore me.
'the girl with the dragon tattoo' saw that this was changed. I have read the whole trilogy to the point of losing sleep. It only took two weeks too.
I consider this book a great, throughout i enjoyed each book and the subtle humour and overall style. Often making me smile a lopsided smile like salanders.
These books havent put me on to reading per say. But i can respect and admire this trilogy as an artform. Incredible.

Perhaps if you read more books, your grammar and syntax would improve, as would your ability to express yourself. Now that you have tried one, keep up the good work! There are whole new worlds to explore, through books and the authors who give of themselves and thus enrich the lives of the rest of us. You might find boredom to be a thing of the past.
Good Luck!

Your grammar's not the hottest either, Vanderlay. That being said, I hope you guys enjoy the series.

I'm not a stickler for grammar or spelling and don't really care if anyone else is either. If I can understand it, it is good enough for me. That said I want to say to you Wasp that books are the best friends you could ever have. They entertain you, make you laugh, let you soar with grand ideas, clash with titans, mine deeply into the psyche of our fellow man, cry with an honesty that will surprise you, wake you up, put you to sleep, and leave you alone when you don't want anything from anybody. And never say a word while saying everything. Enjoy Wasp.

I read a lot of books and I think I can honestly say these are the best I think I've ever read. Could not put them down! I had no idea about the author until I read on the covers about his untimely death. What a loss to the literary world.

YOU NEED TO READ SOMETHING FROM WILBUR SMITH
- JRBINGHAMJR@aol.com, 22 January 2011
Try Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts (but then I like Wilbur Smith too).

I rarely read anything, but have just finished part 2 - I am hooked and hugely impressed with how gripping and involved his writing style is, I have been totally immersed and cant wait to get reading part 3.
So sad that family and his partner have fallen out, they should be together celebrating what was a massive talent.
Thank your for the books Stieg, may you rest in peace and here's hoping your family reconcile with Eva.
