I've just read all 3 books. Very sad that there will be no more from this talented author. But I'm stunned that this brilliant couple did not foresee the legal mess that Eva is in right now. What kind of community property rights are "the norm" in Sweden when a couple make a decision to co-habitate? Do they consider community property rights at all before they make a decision to work and live together?

I'm sorry Dorthea but I feel the way you do. Can you say the word GREED on the brother and father's part! The sadder thing is Eva not agreeing to finish and release the 4 book. She had to be inside of Stieg's head after editing the first 3 books. Who better to finish the 4th book. I could think of several American writers who could maybe do it justice but that would never happen, Dean Koontz or James Patterson. Eva at the least deserves a 1/3 share of any royalties from the books ot movies. We just watched the 2nd movie and it was as good as the first.
I'm still reading the "Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest" and the 3rd movie is pre-ordered from Amazon for a Jan. 2011 release in DVD.

Great actress with great film theme, like her character and even greater trilogy. And if there fourth book, which I doubt, but I would understand why not hustle for another great success...

I am a fan of the books and the movies as well. I dread the thought of Hollywood messing up with the remakes which will certainly won't be as faithful to the books as the swedish movies were. There will be car chases of course, too much gore, too much sex and I hate to imagine what Lisbeth will look like ... redone with "the Hollywood touch" !
- Lyse Middleton, 23 November 2010
I agree. I hope they stay true to Lisbeth's real character!

"The Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest iis riveting. Nooni Rapace is a wonderful, actress. The underlying book is tight and spellbinding. We have seen the Trilogy. Though we are not sure if Hollywood would do justice to a remake.
Good luck to Eva Gabrielson who shared Steig's life and the threats to her life to obtain her fair share of the successful films.

I absolutely loved the books the characters were captivating. Lisabeth Salander was exceptional in everything she did and stood for. We all have a streak of her morality to indentify with. I loved her stubbornness. So sad the author died unexpectantly, he is extraordinary in telling a tale of intrigue and getting you to love the characters. I hope book number 4 was almost complete. Ten books of that caliber would have been amazing.

Have just finished the third book of the trilogy, read 'til 4.30 this morning. I think it is the best I have ever read. I don't think anyone could play salander better than Noomi Rapace. What a brilliant actor. Bring on No 4. Stieg Larsson... what a loss

In my adult life I've rarely read novels. I began reading the first novel, (tattoo) and then read all three within a three week span. Great reading, really a page turner, each one. Too bad Larsson is no longer with us.
