Before his career as a writer, Stieg Larsson was mostly known for his struggle against racism and right-wing extremism. Starting in the late 1970's, he combined his work as a graphic designer with holding lectures on right-wing extremism for Scotland Yard. During the following years he became an expert on the subject and held many lectures as well as writing many novels on the subject. In 1995, when 8 people were killed by neo-Nazis in Sweden, he was the main force behind the founding of the Expo-foundation, a group intended on exposing neo-Nazi activity in Sweden. From 1999 onwards he was appointed chief editor of the magazine Expo.

During the last 15 years of his life, he and his life companion Eva Gabrielsson lived under constant threat from right-wing violence.

I am a voracious reader and was slow to find out about this thrilling series. I am so happy that I read the three books and when I finished the third novel I felt like it was the perfect ending. We should be satisfied with what we were given and if there is more to come, then we should feel gratitude and enjoy!

At last have seen proper movies with an interesing and unexpected plot i.e. The Girl with the Dradon Tattoo and its sequel. The films coming from Hollywood at the moment are dire and dumbed down. Well done Stieg Larsson and Sweden.

Stieg Larsson is a born genius!!!!!!!!!!!! His Millennium-trilogy is addicting. Truely one of the best writing I've ever read. I currently started reading the 3rd novel "The girl who kicked the Hornets nest"! Larsson has done it again.

I simply can't put the book down. It's like a drug one can't resist!

Or M & M's ya can't just eat just one.. I want more of Larsson. Let his

companion Eva Gabrielsson finish what would be his finaly bow to his legacy.

The best books I've read in a long time. They are simply amazing ! I'm reading the second one in the serie and I intend to finish it tonight. I can't wait to start the third. (Too bad some on this board are killing the intrigue by revealing information though !)
