Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
Have just finished the first 2 books and started on the third - heard about the books on ABS Radio and was intrigued enough to ask for them as Christmas presents! Am a great fan of various crime writers - Larsson is now on my list - hope the rest of the books can somehow be finished.

Me too, just about to get the third. Would you happen to have had a career in relation to crime?

Have read the first 2 and am now half way through the third one. I have absolutely loved these books and am reading the last one as slowly as possible to maximise the enjoyment. Let's hope that the family arrange to have the fourth one finished by a ghost writer...and then bring out the rest of the envisaged books. Fantastic reads.

Just finished "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," and loved it, can't wait to read the next two! How sad he is gone, and monstrous that he was threatened by right wingers. The right-wing nuts in America seek to destroy anything in their path that doesn't agree with their psychotic philosophy. They are my country's own taliban. I will savor the next three books. Thank you Stieg Larsson if you can read this.

An impressive trilogy that holds the reader's attention from the first sentence to the very last word. A wonderful christmas present that I have been unable to put down until I had finished.

Lisbeth is my newest all time favourate heroine, I think she'll beat Lara Croft any place any time.
Everytime I look at the three millenium books in my bookshelf, I cannot help myself for hoping(wishing actually) for a fourth book to appear out of the blue.
I've recommended this book to all my reading buddies and all of them share my feelings about the fourth book.
Thanks Stieg and may you rest in peace.

I am surprised to read all the negative input.
So, on a postitive note, I thought both the actress who played Lisbeth ( Noomi Rapace), and the actor who played Blomquist ( Mikael Nykvist), were perfect.
They looked exactly as I had pictured, reading the books. Actually, all the actors chosen for various roles, were " right on". exciting to see that Sweden could produce a quality action movie (s)!! Yes, I read all 3 books, and so far I have seen 2 of the movies.
