Sry, but my english is so bad, so I write my comment in german.

Ah, such mixed feelings. I Loved all three books, partly through the 2nd one a nagging thought surfaced, "I bet he was killed". There would be some who felt he knew too much. So upon doing a little research I wasn't surprised to hear he had received many death threats over the years. I am so saddened by the fact he is no longer with us, and so grateful for the cracking good read he has provided us: interesting and human characters, absorbing storylines, a sense of expose many of us sense is not too far from the real truth. But you know what, I would rather he were still with us and forgo this sense of literary satisfaction. Well done Steig, R.I.P.

The millenium books are the most amazing books I have ever read. It saddens me deeply to know that such a brilliant writer, is not able to see the pleasure his creations have brought others.

I found the series most entertaining and the Salander character really fascinating! This girl is an alien from space in some ways - does not relate to any tradition, moral, religious, social, cultural or even culinary. Which is refreshing. But - she is half Russian and her monstrous father is Russian proper - which for me is half funny half sad - those AWFUL eastern Europeans, only they can be that nasty... Greetings from Eastern Europe :-)

I was told by someone that Stieg had outlines for many more books completed before his death - hopefully, someone in the family will keep the books coming by allowing someone to write posthumously from his outlines - it could keep their inheritance growing and coming formany years to come. Such a shame Stieg could not have enjoyed all of this fame and fortune. Great Books - all three - not released in USA until june 2010 = purchased a copy from UK of Hornet's Nest - wonderful! Sad w hen when I was finished. Paula - St. Louis, Missouri, USA
