Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
I just finished the first book. It is by far the best crime novel I have ever read. It is absolutely rivetting and I highly recommend it. I shall get the second book later today.

Really enjoyed the first two and saving the final one for a rainy day - really evocative writing which takes me back to my trips to Sweden during the 90s.
Wonderful simple writing from a wonderful writer.
Thanks Stieg, we miss you!

It took me less than 48 hours on average to read each book. Just finished the third novel this morning. To be honest, I don't really want to see the movies and I would probably have mixed feelings if the fourth book ever comes out of print. The story seems perfect to me just as it is.

Just finished reading the second part of the trilogy yesterday and first thing this morning bought first and third book. I regret now having started with the second one as the story is chronological beside being so fascinating . Absolutely brilliant detective storytelling, best I've read for a long long time. I also learned yesterday about Larssons premature death. :(

I agree with you, Jari. It´s one of the best books I´ve ever read, the right word to describe the trilogy is ADICTIVE. I feel sorry Larsson won´t write any more books.- He was brilliant.

I won the first 2 books from a sweepstakes through VisitSweden.com - I am so very glad that I did. What a story - what a writer! Just finished the 2nd book and can't wait to get my hands on the third. What a gigantic loss that he is gone.

I have read the three books and the middle one in Finnish and was discusted with the amount of swearing in it. The english versions were soooooo much better.....there seriously is no need to fowl language like that.
Loved the series totally!

I am gutted to have finished the 3rd without another to go on to. Salander has to be on my list of heroines. One of the best series of books to come out for ages such a shame that Larsson is not here anymore to realise his success.
