Boxed set edition of the Millennium Trilogy, the first volume of which, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has been adapted as a major Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig to be released on the 26th December.
Good, good from Matadepera, two people.
Thanks

As soon as I finished the first one I had to have the second immediately! The most intriguing and absorbing books I have ever read, cannot wait for the last one. I have started reading other books but everything else is inadequate compared. I keep hoping Lisbeth will turn up and hack into their computers. Such a pity Larsson isn't around to see the impact his books have had.

I am not usually a fan of crime/thriller fiction and the GWTD Tattoo sat on my bookshelf for a few months before I got round to it. Outstanding, both the Salander and Blomqvist characters are exquisitely drawn and very powerful. This is both a fantastic thriller but also a wonderfull piece of modern literature.

I have completed the first 2 books. Stieg Larsson has far surpassed anything I have ever read. I look forward to reading book #3, I would like to see a book #4, but it has to be 100% Stieg Larsson.

What a great legacy Stieg has left us. I am just finishing book2 and can't wait for book3 but might wait to savour it as I will feel very empty after it.
Like everyone I am in love with Lisbeth and also sincerely hope that Tarantino and Jolie don't get near the movies. There are so many less well-known but talented people out there (like Stieg was), I hope the films can be done with skill and atmosphere like Stieg's books and not with special effects, explosions, guns blazing and people flying around on wires in front of blue screens. If only Stieg and Ingmar Bergman were alive we would have some masterpieces of cinema...

Book nr. 1 is fantastic, can't wait until book nr. 2 will be translated into Icelandic, I think it will be this september. It's a real shame that Stieg doesn't get to see his work be adored and loved.
Thank you Stieg
Rest in pease..
