I watched all three of the movies (TGWTDT, TGWPWF, and TGWKTHN) and i loved them!! i now want to read the books.
p.s. i have a feeling that the hollywood version is going to suck just as all of their remade versions of foreign films....don't they have any good, unique ideas of their own?

I just finished the third book of the Millenium series, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets nest and I must tell you that this is one of the best series that I've ever read! A Friend gave me The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for Christmas and I read it immediately and then requested that she loan me the next two novels that I again read immediately. They are page turners and I had to stop myself from reading them during the day (taking me away from my work time, lol). Anyway, I was sad at the end of the Hornets Nest knowing that Stiedg is no longer with us to continue his wonderful series and am going to miss the characters greatly.

Just finished the trilogy and don't know what to read now! Found them all captivating and spent many long hours reading as unable to put the books down. SL was a truly gifted author and it's a tragedy that he is no longer with us. So far the movie versions have not done the books justice in my opinion. Hope that the remakes are better.

all three are absolutely brilliant. I have not been able to put them down. I am devastated that there will be no more but relieved, on reading the info in this website, that there may be a fourth if his partner is able to pull it off. Good luck to her in her struggle with the family.

I read all 3 books, they keep me turning page after page without wanting to put the book down, with everyone, now I have passed them around, and everyone that has read it loves them, including myself, I do hope the 4th book gets published, and all works out, also staying true to the characters, great book, sadly i hope that all goes well with his life partner, and manages to have some income with the royalities of the book too. Shame on his family for not being more caring, especially if she had a hand in the other 3 novels.

What? Hollywood always sucks? Its David Fincher, one of the best directors out there! And I hate to break it to you people, but they aren't remaking the movies, its an American adaptation of the books. Different than a remake. But if they suck, well, at least we have the books and other films. If they are good, then hey! its more that we get to enjoy.

This is exactly why foreign books SUCK when translated to American film. I read all three books and would have loved to see an Americanized version (one that was FAR closer to the original book than what was put out there than the crap I just saw. I LOVED this trilogy, but this movie was so bad that I will not watch the other two

I think you should buy the TV-versions, and not those for the movie.
They're MUCH better! And longer.
