I've read the first and second books and I've just started the third one...I was looking forward to having it and finally here it is!...I fell in love with the first book almost at the first page and I could not put it away a moment...same for the second one and I'm starting to feel the same about the last one (sadly)...Stieg is one of the greatest writers I've ever read and it is a shame he died so much young and without knowing what amount of people love their books...
I saw the film too and taken into account how difficult is to translate a book to a film, I ended up quite happy with the result...

Exquisite books, a violent disillusioned and intriguing plot that reveals the real problems of our society, communicated through a fresh direct and at times harsh journalistic style

I could not stop reading!!! That is really all you have to say about all 3 millenium-books. Exciting and Intriguing Story in exactly the right kind of writing and when you are done reading, you would feel empty and really want more!!
So please give us more stuff about Lisbeth & Co. I love it!!!

Larsson's passion for his cause shows in his compelling writing. Way to go Salander...This woman kicks ass. I'm at work now and didn't get to sleep at all last night. Just had to finish reading about her exploits in The Girl Who Played With Fire.

Thanks Luthien I'd heard contradictory versions of the translations into Catalan and I was not sure of that to do...

I'm finishing the second one, and I've read both in Catalan. I enjoyed it a lot!
Estic acabant el segon, i els he llegit tots dos en català. M'han agradat molt!
Estoy acabando el segundo, y los he leído ambos en catalán. ¡Me han gustado mucho!

I just finished reading "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" because I wanted to know what the fuzz was all about. I got to say that I was absorbed by the book from the get go, however by the last few chapters I began to feel disappointed by the way the story unraveled. As I finished reading the last page I couldn?t help feeling manipulated by cheap writing tricks. I won't be reading his other two books, I won?t be part of the millennium mass consumption. It was a good thing that I read the book at the bookshop in the US where I didn?t have to purchase it.

Estoy de acuerdo en lo que dices, me enganche desde el primer momento pero hacia el final me decepciono
