I believe a lot of the problem preconceived about this movie is it's depth. This is not a bad thing, but rather, not to be taken as 'light watching' material. The subject matter, albeit heavy, is beautifully portrayed without glorifying the horrific nature of the acts. Not for everyone; definately a movie aimed for an audience seeking an intense thriller over the course of many hours. Not recommended for those that enjoy quick thrillers with fast plot development and minimal character development- this series may take a few seatings to finish, but you may find yourself pleasantly surprised as to it's merit.
